Dream big and live large

Is £5,000 enough to start a business?

Leigh Caldwell, Inon

Yes. This is the story of Leigh Caldwell. Gifted as a child, Leigh started university at 14 and on completing his degree, went on to start his own software company with a small loan from his local bank. The company now turns over half a million a year but the journey hasn’t been easy. Surviving, the burst of the dotcom bubble and numerous other hurdles along the way, the company is now stronger than ever. What inspired me about Leigh was that despite being an ‘academic’ and someone who could have landed a cushy job with whatever management consultancy or investment bank of the day, he took the path less travelled. He dreamed and it paid off.
